It is especially gratifying when publications cite DePaul or its colleges, schools and programs for such distinctions as academic excellence and commitment to diversity. The rankings and recognition underscore the remarkable work being done by our faculty and staff as they strive to achieve the goals of VISION twenty12.

Recent recognition includes:

  • Another top 10 ranking for our entrepreneurship program by Entrepreneur magazine and Princeton Review's fifth annual "Best Schools for Entrepreneurs." DePaul was rated fifth — best in the Midwest — in the graduate entrepreneur program category and seventh — highest among Chicago-area universities — in the undergraduate category.
  • Fortune Small Business's naming DePaul’s undergraduate entrepreneurship program as one of the 25 best in the country (programs were not numerically ranked). It also named the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business as among the nation’s top “B-schools with entrepreneurial flair.”
  • Fortune Small Business citing the School of Music’s performing arts management program—an interdisciplinary music, business and theatre undergraduate major—as one the 23 best cross-discipline programs.
  • A No. 3 ranking by Crain's Chicago Business of Kellstadt's MBA program behind Northwestern University and the University of Chicago. Recruiters listed DePaul as second best in marketing, management, accounting and real estate.
  • Being named one of 23 top service-learning programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. This is the fifth year in a row the magazine has ranked our service learning program among the nation’s Top 25. DePaul is the only university in Illinois honored in the service learning category.
  • DePaul’s campus diversity was lauded in Princeton Review’s annual college guide, “The Best 366 Colleges." DePaul ranked No. 20 in the country in the “Diverse Student Body” category, the fifth consecutive year we have been ranked in the nation’s top 20 in its diversity division.
  • CTI's ranking in the top 10 in the nation by Princeton Review in three different categories, including the number of total Asian-American master’s degree recipients (No. 2), total Hispanic/Latino master’s degree recipients (No. 5) and total African-American master’s degree recipients (No. 10).
  • The naming of the College of Law as one of the top 20 law schools for Hispanics by Hispanic Business magazine.
  • Prominent mention in the 2007 Diverse Issues in Higher Education rankings of the 100 top minority degree-producing institutions. DePaul was ranked in 25 different categories, scoring among the nation’s top 25 in seven of them.

Congratulations to all the colleges and programs that were recently cited by the publications. There is so much we have to be proud about at DePaul as we begin the school year. I sincerely appreciate everyone's hard work and dedication.
